There are those times when we receive or see an email that looks like someone had a tactile seizure on their keyboard, though we’re pretty sure that they sent what they thought was a great email. Well, it wasn't. Matter of fact, it was SMURFED up. We didn't read your email. We didn't even mark it as spam. Just deleted it. Prayed to the email deities and hoped that never again would we have to see anything like that. But we did.

Retail can—and should be—revolutionary. Believe it or not, Karl Marx had some very keen observations about retail. Okay, so maybe he wasn't talking directly about retail, but when you take his five steps of revolution and throw them into the retail context, it's downright cathartic.

I have a confession to make: I am sick of all the branding hype. For all of the conferences and conversations with proselytizing pundits, there are precious few people who can tell you how to simply and easily convert brand mastery into greater sales. And that, after all, should be the point, shouldn’t it?

I'm sure you've been there. You're in the middle of completing a campaign with your agency, and what you get back is good, but misses the mark in some way. Before you fire off an email or tell the designer that it "misses the mark in some way," let's take a moment to think about feedback. More specifically, specific feedback.
